i downloaded a free trial of photoshop cs4! i have it for 30 days! it is soooooo wonderful!!i love it!! but sadly after 30 days...it's gone foreverT_T i don't have 600 dollarsT_T whyyyyyyyyyyy does it have to be soooo expensive??? photoshop is a wonderful program, but 600 dollars??? that's kinda ridiculous! but i also downloaded photoshop elements 8 to compare it. it's WAY less money and i could actually afford to buy it. i haven't really used it yet. i did play around with it though. it seems to do the same things photoshop cs4 does. but i can't figure out the styles. i put them in the styles folder just like i put the styles in the styles folder for cs4. but they show up in cs4 but not elements?? how can i make them show up? the styles are really nice and if i bought elements i want to be able to use the styles i downloaded!

now, i'm working on my 2nd photoshop drawing! when i outline drawings i usually do it kinda "sketchy". like i don't draw 1 smooth line, i draw little lines but then it looks mostly smooth when i'm done. but when i scanned it and opened it with photoshop, it looks sketchy lol. it's not that bad though. it's so hard for me to draw a smooth line because if i do, the line usually goes off to the side a little bit. i just can't control it lol. on the drawings i'm working on now the hair looks soooo much better that the first one i did. i didn't really know how to color the hair when i did the first one. when i was looking at some of the hair tutorials it said to use the smudge brush. well i couldn't find the smudge brush. when i got to the eyes on my first drawing i really needed the smudge brush, so i typed on google "where is the smudge brush on photoshop cs4"lol. it said that you have to click and hold on the blur tool and then a list of other tools appears! it's the same for pretty much all the tool buttons on cs4. i'm so glad i found the smudge brush. it makes a HUGE difference in my drawing!

anyways if anyones ever used photoshop elements..does it work just as good as photoshop cs4? i know it will have some less features because of the giant price difference. but for coloring anime, it's pretty much the same as cs4??
